Get Your First Client Without Spending a Single Dollar

It is tough to get your first or more clients without doing paid advertising or applying for many jobs on multiple freelancing sites. I am pretty sure, like me, many of you got very frustrated after applying for lots of work on freelancing sites and not getting any response.

So, I have decided to share how I got clients to help you get your first or more clients without applying for work on freelancing sites and doing paid advertisements.

1. First, decide what service you will offer and whom you want to get as a targeted client. From which country or states you want to get your client.

2. After you have made your mind, search companies on Google in your targeted industry and create a shortlist.

3. After you are done with the shortlist, find out the working email address or personal phone number of decision-makers of the companies you have shortlisted. Keep in mind it will be hard to get contact details. You have to do intense research and use some extensions to get email addresses and phone numbers.

4. After gathering all the numbers and having a clean shortlist, it’s time to research the problems these companies face. Keep in mind that your research should focus on finding these companies’ actual pain points; without knowing the real pain point, you will never be able to sell your service to anyone.

5. After you figure out the actual pain points. Write personalized emails to the decision-makers of the companies you have shortlisted. Please keep in mind that email should be to the point, mentioning the solution to their pain point and how you can help them. Share the numbers from your previous work experience if you have any.

6. Set a time to reach out. (If you decided to reach out to companies from the United States, the ideal time is to reach them at 7 am to 8 am Monday to Friday)

7. Send 30–40 personalized emails every day or call as many as possible. Make sure you send your Calendly link or any other option so that they can fix a meeting instantly. If you are calling, make sure to propose a time and get the email address to set follow-up meetings.

With this method, I got my client in only four days. So I hope this will help you get your first client or more client in just a couple of days.
